FACTBC Lunch and Learn: The Mental Health Challenges of the LGBTQ2SIA+ Community

There are many factors which affect the mental health of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community, especially that of the gender diverse or trans community. We will explore the variety of factors which contribute to mental health challenges within the community and how it also relates to the issue of regulating the mental health professions. Come take a peek at how to help those who are gender diverse or LGBTQ2SIA+ and there will be time for questions at the end.

Speaker: Veronica Greer is a member of CPCA who specializes in in gender, sexuality, and intimate relationships counselling. She came out as transgender in 2016 and has a background in support work for people with diverse abilities. Veronica is currently studying to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Victoria
